I bought it to help stimulate blood circulation to help boost the benefits of the scalp serums I'm using so I can give my hands and arms a break from massaging. My hair is thinning due to PMOS/PCOS and peri. Whether it does help with scalp health or not, it's certainly very relaxing. I use it in bed to wind down. I agree with another reviewer that just a second or two more holding pressure would be nice. I'll add that I would prefer to turn off the heat in the summer, but I think the heat is automatic.
